SYNOPSIS

The Choco area in Colombia remains isolated between sea and forest. There, religious missions, military operations and touristic projects amongst others have come

and gone, coexisted and ignored each other at the same time.

Judgment put aside and free of narration, Tropic Pocket captures images to witness and justify these actions, leaving behind their argumentative weight. The

spectator will decide which amongst these layers of reality and mystification are the most deceitful.

La région colombienne du Chocó est une zone isolée entre mer et forêt où missions religieuses, opérations militaires, projets touristiques et trafics en tout genre se croisent, s’ignorent et se succèdent.

Sans volonté de jugement ni souci de narration, Tropic Pocket subtilise des images qui témoignent et justifient ces actions, les délestant au passage de leur force argumentative.

Le spectateur décidera, parmi ces strates de réalité et de mystification, quelles images sont les plus fourbes.

La región colombiana del Chocó es una zona aislada entre el mar y la selva donde misiones religiosas, operaciones militares, proyectos turísticos y tráficos de todo tipo se cruzan, se ignoran y se suceden. Sin emitir juicios ni intentar explicaciones, Tropic Pocket muestra imágenes que dan testimonio de estas acciones.
